House of Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg wades into north-east bridge row

The Scottish Government has been criticised for failing to provide a local authority with the funds to deal with a “bridge crisis”.


Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg branded the Scottish Government’s use of taxpayers’ money as “wasteful”. Aberdeenshire Council is responsible for around 1,500 bridges across the region and lacks the cash to repair or rebuild damaged or destroyed structures.
